Week’s End

Yesterday, my friend Trisha and I escaped and drove to Portland, Maine for a day of thrift shopping and time away from having to think about things like diaper-changing, nose-wiping, lunch-making, nap-scheduling, or crumb-vacuuming. I don’t often spend such long stretches of time away from my little guy, but I know it is good for me. Both of us work in our home, so we try to schedule a day like this every month or so. Though neither of us bought much, it was fun just to be out of the house, having good conversation.
