Rainy Day Reflecting

Some days require a little more effort to find the good than others. On those days I find it is helpful to make a list of the things that made it all worthwhile, and in so doing, to refocus my outlook.
Today I am thankful for:
~Time spent outside with my son, helping him make bubbles with his bubble-blowing toy lawn mower.
~The giggles we shared as we had to dash back inside when it started raining.
~The purchase of a brand new sketchbook, and two sketches already inside.
~Singing in the car.
~Taking a short afternoon walk to the store with Simon, and his determined effort to carry the big pack of paper towels all by himself on the way back. (In spite of the fact that it was as big as he is.)
~Saying “OK” to the his request to splash in puddles.
~ A husband who was willing to cook dinner.
~Potty training successes.
~Extra snuggles, hugs, and kisses today.
~Yogurt and blueberries for dessert.
What are you thankful for today?

Good question! Eating better, straightened the house yesterday, happy kids and husband, beautiful day which is almost over!
Eating better always makes me feel better!
Lovely blog post, looking at it from a thankful view point really swung your perception of a rainy day and your words are filled with contentment and calm, sounds a lovely day. I wrote a blog post a bit like this recently. I try to be thankful day to day and if I forget a thankful mindset can turn a day around. So much is state of mind don’t you think?
