A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013.

Simon: Being allowed to watch extra television this week because Mumma was sick. His drum strapped around his shoulder, completely absorbed in the show, tongue sticking out.

I can tell already, one of the hardest parts of this project is going to be choosing which photograph to share each week. I had several other shots that I took this week and loved, but on the day I took the photo above I was practicing my camera’s manual mode (which is part of my goal for this project), and he was sitting so still and so sweet, unaware of my impromptu photo shoot.
