The First Signs
March 14, 2013

From a melting pond, to shoots of green, I enjoyed seeing the first signs of Spring today as Simon and I took a walk through the park. There was a strange mix of sunshine and snowflakes in the weather, as though the seasons were having a battle. Still, these little signs feel energizing.
“She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbor:
”Winter is dead.”
― A.A. Milne, When We Were Very Young

Beautiful photos! Beautiful poem! I’m so excited for Spring; It’s so great to spy little signs.
Yes! Great signs of transition! I love the shoots and the shards of ice!
